2017 Pierre Reserve Pinot Noir

A very limited cuvee of Le Cadeau Pinot Noir produced with Pierre Millemann, an oenologist from Nuits-Saint-Georges who has worked with many top wineries in the US and Europe. The grapes were sourced primarily from Calera and Dijon clones on the Eastern side of our vineyard, estate plantings of Vosne-Romanée clones, and the various heritage clones found throughout the Southern blocks

Awarded 92 points by Vinous: "The 2017 Pierre Reserve is intense, spicy and darkly floral with a dusty blend of ashen stones, tomato leaf, grilled herbs and crushed cherries. This is velvety in feel, seamless and soothing, with ripe red and black fruits that gain contrast through a core of salty minerality. It finishes long and balsamic in character, leaving hints of cocoa and bitter blackberry over a bed of grippy tannins."
