2022 Le Cadeau Chardonnay

The 2022 Le Cadeau Chardonnay is crisp, mineral-driven, with just a touch of oak – all in perfect balance – produced entirely from fruit grown in rocky volcanic basalt. Harvested in October 2022, our estate-grown chardonnay grapes were carefully processed and fermented in stainless steel before being transferred to barrels. The wine aged for 10 months in neutral French oak, with an additional 2 months of aging in stainless steel on lees. Both the aromatic profile and palate complexity are developed through the vineyard-driven attributes of clonal diversity, soil diversity, and sunlight "aspect."

Awarded 93 points by James Suckling: "Aromas of pears, lemon zest, flint and white flowers. The palate is textural yet focused, with bright acidity, a citrus and stone fruit undertone and a creamy and minerally finish."
