The Merci Reserve cuvee is our unique release crafted from estate plantings of “heirloom” or “heritage clones” of Pinot noir – clippings from Mt. Eden, Calera, Swan, Hanzell, and Vosne-Romanée (Côte de Nuits, Burgundy). This special bottling is a fitting tribute to those that have labored to make these extraordinary clones available to us, and to whom we express our deepest thanks.
Awarded 94 Points by Vinous: "Tempts the imagination with a dark blend of sweet sage, lavender and crushed rocks complicating crushed strawberries. Silken in feel, it offers a staining concentration of red and black fruits that add tension as a cascade of sweet spice arches across the palate. Crunchy tannins linger under an air of blue and purple inner florals as the 2022 finishes with outstanding length and resonance of licorice. This shows fantastic balance for the vintage."
